How does the service work?

  1. Complete a simple form about your problem or request.
  2. Your GPs decide on the best treatment for you or you may directed to help elsewhere.
  3. The practice responds with advice, a prescription or an appointment.

Please note: the eConsult service is not available on weekends. Please call NHS 111 if you need urgent advice during this time. We aim to assess e consultations submitted between 8am Monday and 6pm Friday by the end of next working day, but due to high demand this may not always be possible. If you think your problem may require you to be SEEN by a Doctor urgently (within the next 24hours) it is safest that you contact the surgery by phone.

We have noticed that an increasing number of issues submitted via e-consults could have been effectively managed with self-care measures. When using this service it will ask you if you wish to self-care for your issue. We would therefore politely request that you consider utilising this feature as you may well find you are able to manage your issue effectively without the need to consult a healthcare professional. Please also remember that pharmacists can manage many simple health problems. Many thanks.

SMS consent

We often respond via SMS, please indicate in one of the free text boxes on your eConsult form if you are happy to receive SMS communications from the practice.
