Anti-Obesity Medication Policy
We have started receiving enquiries from patients regarding the prescription of weight loss medication, specifically Tirzepatide (Mounjaro), which was approved by NICE for use on the NHS at the end of December 2024.
Whilst weight loss injections have now been approved on the NHS and roll-out has begun, eligibility criteria are strictly controlled. Unfortunately we have no ability to overrule the NHS criteria so cannot offer appointments with the clinical team to discuss this.
All patients will be contacted by the surgery as and when they become eligible but in most cases this will be a wait of a number of years so please remain patient.
