The NHS App allows you to manage your appointments, repeat prescriptions and access a range of other healthcare services via your smartphone or home computer/tablet.

In order to access these online services you must create an NHS online account and verify your identiity to get full access.

We recognise that some of our patients may need additional support to get their account setup and familiarise themselves with the services available to them online. This is why we are working with the volunteers from our Patient Participation Group (PPG) and the other three practices in our Primary Care Network, Healthwest, to provide support to our registered patients.

Our support sessions are open to all patients, whether you are completely new to using online services, or just want to learn how to utilise these features better.

Sessions will be held at one of the four practices in our PCN in small groups, with each patient having one to one support with one of our volunteers.

If you would like to attend one of our support sessions please complete the form below and we will add you to our waiting list.

Once the below form has been submitted, our booking team will contact you within 30 days to confirm the date and location of any upcoming sessions.

Patients will need to have downloaded the NHS App and linked their account to the practice prior to attending the session, our booking team can assist you with these steps if required.

By linking your NHS online account to the practice you will have access to potentially sensitive information contained in your medical record. Once access has been granted, the patient is responsible for ensuring their account remains secure and should not share their password information with anyone. If you have any concerns about how the NHS app manages your data please read their privacy policy.

All volunteers who offer their assistance at our support sessions will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement to ensure any information discussed or disclosed during the session remains confidential and is not disclosed.

It is the patient's decision what level of information (if any) they choose to share during the support session when being shown how to navigate the NHS App. The patient will be in control of the app at all times, our volunteers are there to suppot and guide you. If you would prefer our volunteers did not view any of your personal data please inform them of this when you attend the session.

We will not share any of your information with our volunteers except your full name, which our volunteer team will require to manage attendance at the sessions.
